Directions
From Highway 17 (Patricia Bay Highway), head east (right, if you’re travelling north from downtown, left, if you’re heading south from Sidney or BC Ferries at Swartz Bay) onto McKenzie Ave., following signs for the University of Victoria. As you pass through the grounds of UVic, McKenzie Ave. becomes Sinclair Road at the traffic lights at Finnerty Road. Continue on Sinclair a few blocks to the four-way stop at the bottom of the hill, where you’ll turn left on Cadboro Bay Road & pass through Cadboro Bay Village. In about a half mile, take the second right onto Seacroft Place.

A peaceful, secluded retreat awaits you at Seacroft Bed & Breakfast By-The-Sea, situated within walking distance of the University of Victoria, and just minutes from downtown Victoria’s many attractions. As you step through the white picket gate, your first feeling is that of absolute peace and quiet. At the foot of a short cul-de-sac, Seacroft B & B is nestled in beautiful, mature gardens.

Entering the foyer of this home, the feeling of tranquility continues, as you discover wonderful pieces of art that your host has brought home from her world travels. Exquisite vases filled with fresh flowers are everywhere. Reminiscent of the Tudor style, this elegant home features a large yet cozy living/dining Room, complete with wood-burning fireplace, library, and entertainment centre.

The adjacent bedroom will impress you with its king-size bed and adjoining bathroom, complete with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. At the other end of the home are two additional spacious, bright bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed, and the other with twin beds, as well as a second bath with tub and shower. Each bedroom is decorated with peaceful pastels, and looks out over the gorgeous gardens.

Enjoy your hearty, delicious breakfast -- previous guests have referred to your host as a "cook extraordinaire." Choose to savour this meal at the dining room table while you take in the view of the back garden, or step outside to the secluded, covered patio. Relax with your coffee or tea while the only sounds you hear are the singing of birds, and perhaps the lapping of waves.

One of the unique features of Seacroft B & B is the option of complete privacy -- the living/dining Room and kitchen, along with the adjacent bedroom and adjoining bath -- can be reserved as a self-contained suite, complete with separate entrance.

Take advantage of the private access to Cadboro Bay, where you can while away the day on the sandy beach, or venture out in a kayak or canoe. Or enjoy a short stroll to the many interesting shops and restaurants of Cadboro Bay Village.
