Description:
Nestled beneath shade-giving maple trees in one of Victoria's oldest residential neighbourhoods, is the Rosewood Victoria Inn, a uniquely styled 17-unit Bed and Breakfast. From the moment a visitor steps inside, the elegant interior beckons. The small library and guest sitting area with fireplace set the scene for romance, or simply a soothing getaway.

The original 1930s house connects to a recent addition by way of a conservatory replete with sunny atrium where sumptuous full breakfasts are served: homemade granola, from-scratch muffins and croissants, quiche and frittata. Proprietors Harry and Margaret Brock go to great lengths to make their guests feel spoiled.

Small details make this inn special: fresh cut flowers are provided upon arrival. The rooms themselves are elegantly appointed with antique furnishings and each feels like a weekend home with its own sitting area and private bath. While each room is individually accented, all are adorned with rich fabrics, down comforters, fine art and collectibles that showcase a creative eye for design.

Every suite offers color television and coffee maker, some with fireplace or balcony, four-poster bed, soaker or Jacuzzi tubs. Try the Venetian room with its double soaker tub connected to a sitting area by dainty white shutters, or the Florentine with private side garden.

The Holland House is conveniently located just two blocks from the ocean, the world famous Beacon Hill Park, the Inner Harbour and centre of town. As one recent guest put it, "Victoria is heaven's living room and the Rosewood Victoria Inn is one of the master bedrooms."
