From the Inner Harbour, head north towards downtown on Government Street, with the Harbour on your left. Take the first right turn onto Humboldt Street, go one block to the five-way intersection of Douglas, Humboldt & Burdett. This hotel will appeal to all--business travellers, honeymooners, families, people travelling with pets -- everybody who appreciates being treated as a welcome, valued guest.
The Executive House, owned and managed by the same family who built the hotel in 1965, has been extensively refurbished recently, and the results are spectacular. The family atmosphere is evident in the friendly, personalized service one receives upon entering the charming elegance of the wood-paneled lobby. With 181 rooms and suites, many with kitchenettes or full kitchens and balconies, guests are sure to find accommodations to suit their every need. On the Executive Floor, every room and suite features king-size beds and Jacuzzi tubs. In the spacious, sumptuous Honeymoon Rooms, one can luxuriate in the "Jacuzzi in an atrium" while gazing at the moonlit sky, the illuminated Parliament Buildings or the Victoria skyline. Attending the Conference Centre across the street, or doing business in Victoria? You’ll love the luxurious Governor’s Suite, with its meeting room and facilities for 12. A gorgeous living room with fireplace, full kitchen, huge balcony and sumptuous bedroom complete this suite. And then there’s the stunning President’s Suite. This opulent one-bedroom suite offers comfort, luxury, and superb taste in an open plan, featuring a grand living room, gourmet kitchen, lovely dining area, and two enormous balconies with the best view in the city. An added feature for pampered guests of the 17th floor is your own private steam room. What else can you find at the Executive House? Treat yourself to a facial after soaking in the swirling spa, trying out the exercise room, or relaxing in the steam room of the Health Spa. Hungry? Open all day, and featuring a cozy Italian atmosphere, the Caffé D’Amore is your destination. In the evening, your first stop might be the Polo Lounge & Martini Bar, or a quiet table in the Doubles Oyster Bar. You’ll find live entertainment in Bartholomew’s Bar & Rockefeller Grille, with its British atmosphere and outside patio. For steak, seafood and other mouth-watering delights, enjoy first-class service in Barkley’s Dining Room. Written By: Margaret Goodwin Map In This Category
