Access this west coast location in Bamfield via gravel logging roads from Lake Cowichan (125K)or Port Alberni (85K) and take water taxi across the narrow Bamfield Inlet. Access also available by floatplane from Vancouver (40-minute flight), personal boat or ferry (MV Lady Rose) from Port Alberni down the Alberni Inlet.

Offering commanding panoramic ocean views of Barkley Sound, this eight-acre waterfront resort has a unique setting. Perched on the northern tip of West Bamfield’s Mills Peninsula at the entrance to Bamfield’s Harbour, it offers luxurious accommodations and specializes in offshore fishing and adventure packages. Bamfield Inlet is the town’s watery main street and separates East and West Bamfield. Access to the resort is by water taxi from the east side if you drive in (parking is available), or by floatplane or boat.

Deluxe accommodations and meals are available in the all-cedar Main Lodge for up to 16. Every room offers a spectacular ocean view and en suite bathroom. In the warm and hospitable dining room, sample the fantastic and original West Coast cuisine (seafood a specialty). Relax in the comfortable surroundings of the main living room and imbibe at the Butt-Slammer Bar. End your day in the invigorating sea-bluff hot tub or lounge on the spacious view decks to capture the incredible sunsets.

If its privacy and luxury you’re looking for, stay in one of the three beautifully decorated, fully equipped cottages which sleep six to eight people: Executive House, a charming, antique-filled, three story cottage; Seaview House, an inviting rancher with an open cedar design offering incredible ocean views; or the Fisherman’s Cabin with its rustic cedar interior overlooking the marina.

Partake in the numerous activities offered. Guided tours are available for sport fishing (Coho and Halibut), whale watching, and kayaking. Your stay includes the use of recreational equipment. Enjoy a picnic on their private beach and try surf swimming in the wild Pacific Ocean. Moorage is available for visiting boaters and daily arrivals by floatplane from Vancouver and Seattle deposit guests at the Tyee dock.
